      Job description

      In your new role you will:

      • Guide the project team in implementation of ISO26262 processes and methods
      • Prepare justifications needed during hardware safety analysis and for demonstration of process compliance
      • Give guidance in formal reviews, i.e. application and interpretation of checklists required by ISO 26262
      • Support preparation of the safety case (GSN notation)
      • Identify areas of improvements and initiate corrective actions
      • Support during functional safety audits and assessments
      • Regularly report to and alignment with the Safety Manager (Project Manager)

      Profile

      You are convincing by the fact that you are a team player and active driver and want to get things done. You work well under stress, are flexible and want to be employed in a demanding field of work.

      You are best equipped for this task if you have:

      • A full university degree (Master or PhD) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree
      • 5+ years of work experience in the field of functional safety (e.g. ISO 26262, IEC 61508 and other relevant safety standards)
      • Knowledge of safety analysis methods (e.g. FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA)
      • Basic knowledge about semiconductor development
      • Tendency to face up to problems with a structured and methodical approach
      • Good communication and moderation skills
      • Effective communication in English (written and verbal)
      • Availability to travel

      This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group I (www.feei.at/arbeitswelt/kv-tabellen-statistik/mindestloehne-und-gehaelter). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills. Furthermore, Infineon offers additional employee benefits.

      The Infineon affiliate DICE (Danube Integrated Circuit Engineering) in Linz is a dynamic and fast-growing company in the field of microelectronics, with a strong focus on research and development.
