      Job description
      As Lab Application Engineer you are responsible for the definition, implementation and execution of sophisticated measurements for magnetic sensors. You work embedded in projects and collaborate with the R&D department to verify that the new sensors development fulfill the product specifications. At the same time you work within the application engineering team to support the design-in of our products at worldwide customers.

      In your new role you will:

      • Support the design-in of our products at major TIER1s and OEMs by
      • Custom measurements
      • SW/HW prototypes
      • Troubleshooting
      • On-site customer support
      • Contribute to the development of next generation sensors by
      • Verification of sensors vs. Product requirement along the product development in collaboration with R&D department
      • Increase measurement accuracy and efficiency by
      • Developing new testing methodologies, including mechanical, magnetic, electrical and software components to reach the highest accuracy and efficiency in daily work
      • Continous improvement of measurement software and testbenches
      • Interface to suppliers for mechatronic equipment

      Your profile
      You are best equipped for this task if you have a Master Degree in mechatronics, electronic engineering or computer science. Bachelor degree is also an option. You are a team player with good communication skills, creative, full of self-initiative, reliable and very meticolous in your daily work.

      The following skills make you the perfect fit:

      • At least 3 years of professional experience in a verification environment of an electronic equipment or semiconductor company
      • Good knowledge of typical lab SW such as LabView/VBA/Diadem
      • Experience in verification of electronics devices
      • Good understanding of mechatronic systems
      • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
      • Experience with SVN or similar versioning software
      • Fluent in English. German as a plus.

      This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group G (www.feei.at/arbeitswelt/kv-tabellen-statistik/mindestloehne-und-gehaelter-2017). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills. Furthermore, Infineon offers additional employee benefits.
