      Job description

      On basis of existing measurement methods in Keysight E5052B and Rohde&Schwarz FSWP measurement devices following analysis should be done:

      • Evaluation of the difference in the (integrated) measurement methods
        a) Principle of measurement
        b) Sensitivity
      • Development of a "test" method to ensure correct AM noise measurement results (for example with amplitude modulated signals, etc.)
        a) How to ensure correct AM noise results?
        b) Analysis and further development of the measurement technique presented in the paper.
      • AM noise measurements with our newest product and analysis of the results regarding accuracy and precision
        a) Influence of external down-conversion via biased mixer and signal generator (with and without Isolator)

      Work time: part-time

      This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry. The salary for this position is EUR 1.380,-- gross p.m.(full-time basis) for Bachelor's students and EUR 1.810,-- gross p.m.(full-time basis) for Master's students.

      Profile

      Qualifications:

      • University studies in Applied Sciences in Information electronics, Mechatronics or related
      • Ability to create creative, effective and dynamic solutions

      Experience / Knowledge:

      • Programming: C/C++ or similar
      • OS: Windows, Unix and Linux
      • Social: good communication skills and self-Management

      Languages:

      • English (fluent)
      • German (desired)
