      Job description

      Time-to-market and an outstanding development process are what set us apart from our competitors. As Project Manager for Sense and Control, you will directly influence both of these aspects. You will be responsible for preparing and tracking the scheduling and cost planning of product, technology and package development projects for magnetic sensors.

      This position is part of the Project Management Career Path. It provides an attractive career opportunity for employees who focus on managing projects and functional leadership of project team members.

      In this position your main duties and responsibilities are:

      • Plan, organize and control the project with full responsibility for all operational decisions in the project and for the successful achievement of all project targets.
      • Manage and control the entire project life-cycle and ensure hand-over to sustaining function as main contact person for all questions regarding the project.
      • Form and lead the project team and assign responsibilities within the project to project managers of sub-projects and project members.
      • Manage product development projects / sub projects with strong connection to Frontend technologies and Backend processes.
      • Manage a diverse project team with sub-projects and assign tasks / work packages to the most appropriate individuals.
      • Structure projects, ensure compliance and hold project team accountable.
      • Integrate and balance skills and development areas of team members when creating teams.
      • Continuously focus on project quality, assess progress and ensure that goals are met even in the face of challenges.
      • Conduct a forward-looking risk management. In close cooperation with your stakeholders you identify possible mitigation measures and/or backup scenarios.
      • Proactively participate on ISO26262 compliancy initiatives and knowledge sharing within the team.

      This job is suitable for full- and part-time.

      Profile

      • Your university degree in electrical engineering or a similar technical background gives you a good foundation to successfully manage the challenge ahead.
      • At least 6 years of experience in design or product engineering have made you familiar with the subject matter. You have already demonstrated your ability to manage complex projects with conventional and agile methods.
      • You have gained at least 4 years of experience in project management (initiation, planning and closing).
      • You are interested in the latest technologies and possess the ability to think and work cooperatively.
      • Naturally, you are also comfortable working with MS Office and MS Project.
      • Knowledge of Frontend technologies, Backend processes and ISO26262 is a big plus.
      • You have an positive mindset and you can motivate people.
      • Strong negotiation skills help you to drive the project and to come to quick decisions.
      • Our customers demand the highest quality. You ensure that they receive it by continually working to make things better, faster, and more efficient.
      • As Infineon projects are international, you will need excellent English skills. German language skills is an advantage.

      This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, at least employment group H (www.feei.at/arbeitswelt/kv-tabellen-statistik/mindestloehne-und-gehaelter). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills. Furthermore, Infineon offers additional employee benefits.
