      Job description

      In your new role you will:

      • Pursue the goal of i mproving the functional safety of our automotive semiconductor products
      • Be responsible for safety analyses and the technical confirmation measures
      • Apply relevant safety engineering methods (e.g. FMEDA, DFA, FTA) during product development
      • Contribute to the safety and success of our products by delivering safety analysis and safety manuals
      • Confirm the verification of the hardware safety mechanisms
      • Interact closely as an interface within an international team and our worldwide customers (Tier 1)
      • Support R&D projects regarding safety concepts

      Your profile

      You listen actively to the customers and consider their point of view, thoughts, and ideas in order to balance the customers' requirements and the interests of Infineon. Moreover, you live up to high quality standards, have a good sense for costs and strive for continuous improvement.

      You are best equipped for this task if you have:

      • A university degree in Electrical Engineering, Microsystem Technology or Physics
      • Comprehensive experience in the field of semiconductor concept engineering/system architecture or analog and digital circuit design
      • Experience with ISO26262 as a plus
      • IATF16494 and A-SPICE know-how
      • Very good understanding of safety engineering methods e.g. fault injection, FTA, DFA and FMEDA
      • The ability to build up lasting relationships and networks in a complex environment
      • Good communication and moderation skills
      • Very good English and German skills

      This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group H - I (www.feei.at/arbeitswelt/kv-tabellen-statistik/mindestloehne-und-gehaelter-2017). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills. Furthermore, Infineon offers additional employee benefits.

      The Automotive segment (ATV) designs, develops, manufactures and markets semiconductors for use in automotive applications. ATV offers a very broad product portfolio of microcontrollers, magnetic and pressure sensors, radio-frequency and particularly radar components as well as power semiconductors (discretes, modules and ICs). Infineon is one of the few semiconductor manufacturers for automotive that cover all established applications in vehicles: CO2 reduction, comfort electronics, driver assistance systems and security. In the area of safety the focus is on ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems).
