      Linux System Engineer for Openshift Environments (f/m)

      We are looking for a passionate Linux System Engineer to become an important part of our success in our customers relationship.

      Based on DevOps culture, you´ll have to work closely with people from different teams in order to guarantee optimal resource utilization and a stable environment for the deployment and operation of our customers applications.Together with your colleagues, you will be primarily responsible for the administration and the 24/7 operation of existing Openshift clusters.

      Your proven hands-on mentality, the knowledge of Linux environments as well as know-how in modern cloud architectures and related scripting languages ​​complete your personality.

      If necessary you´ll get sufficient training, so that you are able work in accordance with the quality requirements of our company within a defined period of time.

      Primary responsibilities

      • On-site operation und administration of Openshift Environments
      • Performance-tuning within the Openshift Cluster
      • Planning and Performing Release-Upgrades
      • Participating in a 24/7 on-call duty
      • Execution of Security specifications
      • Participation in projects
      • Follow technology trends and constantly strive to learn new technology stacks

      Required skills

      • Long term professional experience in Linux System Operation
      • Advanced knowledge of Linux (RHEL), including performance tuning experience, troubleshooting, bug fix updates, and core builds
      • Advanced knowledge of security, system management, clustering and storage management, virtualization, and directory server
      • Advanced Know-how of automation tools (Ansible, Puppet…)
      • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Excellent communication and customer management skills
      • Willingness to complete the Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification within 60 days of hire

      Good to have

      • Advanced knowledge of OpenShift/Kubernetes
      • Advanced Knowledge in DevOps Culture as well as CI/CD toolchains
