      Mission Statement

      Mission Statement The Corporate IT Security & QA Team is the holistic and main partner as well as consultant for all topics pertaining to information security throughout HOERBIGER. Three years form now, HOERBIGER's IT landscape will be standardized throughout the world and the IT security maturity level will have been increased to a stipulated base-line, while information security and data protection compliance will be an integrated part of business processes and procedures. The main goal is to detect and prevent cyber threats to the company, while building and maintaining IT security solutions, developing security for HOERBIGER's systems/projects and handling any technical problems that may arise.

      Goals

      The person in this position will collaborate with the team and supervisor to implement potentially applicable security standards and develop new ones if the need arises, in a sustainable manner together with the stakeholders. Furthermore, the current manual and time-consuming processes must be transformed into automated process sequences. Additional goals include processing and resolving IT security incidents, decreasing system vulnerabilities to an acceptable and defined level, and increasing the global IT security maturity with priority given to incident handling. Furthermore, the person will ensure the standardization, automation and associated roll-out are conducted within the given time frame and in keeping with the budget.

      Essential Responsibilities

      The IT Security Specialist is responsible for the support and maintenance of ISO 27001 based ISMS and procedures, awareness training and skill enhancement for HOERBIGER employees, conducting internal and external security audits, performing vulnerability testing, risk analyses as well as security assessments, and responding immediately to security-related incidents. Other duties include analyzing and advising on new security technologies and program conformance as well as developing guidelines, policies, controls and safeguards aimed at avoiding/reducing security incidents. Based on wage structure agreements, we are offering a gross monthly salary starting at EUR 2,870 with respect to individual qualifications and experience.
