      Job description

      These qualifications make you our top-candidate:

      • Understand technical trends, evolution, value drivers as well as customer usage of devices in target industrial applications by conducting regular customer visits
      • Along with Product Marketing team, translate customer needs into requirement specifications for new products highlighting value proposition
      • Define the technical go-to-market strategy along with Product and Regional Marketing
      • Coordinate the application engineering team to support new product release by generating promotional material, competitor's benchmarking, fighting guides, datasheets, application notes, design tools and selection guides for new products
      • Drive the definition and generation of hardware-demonstrators and evaluation-kits for promotion and testing purposes
      • Work with the Infineon team on application-oriented system solutions (i.e. innovative power converters and driving concepts which are optimized for the power switch) to identify value proposition, differentiation opportunities for new SiC and IGBT products
      • Elaborate new packaging and assembly techniques to optimize power device behavior
      • Support technical problem-solving and application failure analysis for complex problems beyond the regional Field Application Engineers
      • Act as preferred technical contact for management level of teaching / leading customers

      As a strong team-player with good communication skills you inspire, motivate and guide your team members. You think result-oriented, have a structured and independent working style and a strong customer orientation. You are personally committed to the customer's success and have the capability to resolve technical issues until completion.

      You are best equipped for this task if you have:

      • University degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
      • 8+ years of experience in the power semiconductor market with focus on power converter design, simulation and realization of high power systems for industrial and/or automotive applications
      • Experience with SiC devices, IGBTs and MOSFETs design, development, testing
      • Experience in customer interaction in Europe and Asia Pacific
      • Good knowledge of international standards (IEC, UL…)
      • Fluent English skills with German skills as a strong plus.

      This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group I ( The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills. Furthermore, Infineon offers additional employee benefits.
