      Senior Privacy Manager (m/f)

      Your Responsibilities

      To support the Group Privacy Officer and Deputy in ensuring that all Paysafe group companies comply with their Data Protection obligations globally and have the necessary rights to manage and utilise data to support growth of the group.

      To act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for European Data Protection laws including the GDPR and be willing to develop knowledge of Data Protection laws globally.

      This is a senior frontline role, for an experienced data privacy professional, working with the business areas and other risk teams, to:

      • embed Paysafe 'Standards' globally across all group companies to improve privacy maturity;
      • provide pragmatic and risk-based advice to business units; and
      • assist the Group and Deputy Privacy Officer in meeting GDPR compliance and other global privacy laws

      The role will include collaborating, leading or assisting in all the main privacy areas for a global company, including:

      • implementing our new 'Data Protection Policy' and accompanying 'Standards', globally, across all group companies
      • establishing and maintaining Paysafe's global Data Protection compliance framework
      • developing new guidance on Data Protection for all staff
      • monitoring compliance with the Data Protection Standards, Policies and procedures and liaising with Internal Audit
      • carrying out Privacy / Data Protection Impact Assessments;
      • developing and delivering training, to complement our new online 'train and test' module
      • investigation and management of potential breaches and data incidents
      • advising on cross border data transfers
      • providing pragmatic and risk-based advice on marketing initiatives, particularly electronic marketing
      • ensuring that Data Protection aspects are properly covered in Systems processing personal
      • handle complaints and queries from Data Subjects and provide guidance to the Compliance team in handling Subject Access Requests
      • provide formal compliance reporting to the Group and Deputy Privacy Officer
      • establishing and managing Privacy Champions across group offices
      • providing advice on projects and to act as a key point of contact for Data Protection issues
      • reviewing and advising on DPA clauses in customer terms and supplier contracts
      • GDPR readiness

      Your Profile

      • proven experience of operating as a Privacy Officer
      • significant practical experience in the area of European data privacy and protection and a good understanding of the GDPR and its implications, preferably within an international organisation; wider global privacy law knowledge is helpful
      • IAPP CIPP qualifications, especially CIPP / E, CIPM or ISEB DPA
      • post graduate certification in one or more of data privacy, legal, compliance, information technology desirable;
      • candidates with or without legal qualifications are welcome, but must have strong data privacy knowledge and experience, with a strong academic background
      • payments industry background helpful; as is wider Compliance and risk management exposure at a senior level for an international organisation, working with Compliance teams, Information Security and other Risk teams
      • understanding of systems and processes involved in gathering, storing, transferring and collecting data in an international context and
      • understanding of the key concepts and principles of information security
      • ability to collaborate and build strong stakeholder relationships
      • excellent communication skills, able to simplify the complicated
      • capable of influencing at all levels of the organisation in a friendly and constructive manner
      • constructive and collaborative working style
      • commercially aware with a pragmatic, risk-based approach and experience
      • organisational skills - able to run multiple initiatives in parallel
      • The key requirement is that you have practical data privacy / data privacy officer knowledge and experience, i.e. able to demonstrate implementing privacy and not just 'advising'.
