      Position

      The ideal candidate will have an in-depth experience in supporting BI solutions mainly Tableau. The candidate will be provided the opportunity in administering and supporting scalable solutions and standards around BI and must be able to work with a variety of staff including customers, subject matter experts, product managers, developers, QA staff and managers. Successful candidates will have a solid technical background, be detailed-oriented and have excellent problem solving and communication skills.

      Your Responsibilities

      • Tableau Server administration for Production and Pre-Production environments
      • Troubleshooting of data sources with multiple types of data source connections (SQL, etc.)
      • User Management
      • License Management
      • Software Upgrades
      • Responsibility for the installation, configuration and administration of the Tableau server
      • Working together with infrastructure and operations team in server upgrades, backups, patching, performance tuning, and security and administration of the applications while following SOPs, checklists, and administration guides
      • Responsibility for creating or managing groups, adding or editing sites and corresponding administration rights, including system versus content, creating, modifying, or managing server task schedules, monitoring server activity or usage statistics to identify possible performance issues or enhancements, analyzing documentation for policies, procedures, and best practices, and providing users with Tableau support
      • Providing production support and resolving issues regarding reports and data as identified by users
      • Actively participating in the triage of data-related issues during development and in production
      • Clearly and concisely communicate status of all assigned tasks to coworkers, customers and managers
      • Responsibility for operational, known issues resolutions guideline documents and keep the knowledge base up to date
      • (Publishing data sources, workbooks, etc.)

      Requirements

      • 2+ years of experience in implementation, deployment and ongoing administration of BI Application like Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, etc.
      • Familiar with Microsoft environment (Windows Server, SQL Server, etc.)
      • Strong knowledge of Tableau installation, configuration, administration, performance monitoring, troubleshooting and tuning
      • Knowledge of Tableau Licensing
      • Knowledge of Tableau scheduling, Automate monitoring and server job processes
      • Knowledge of backup and restoration of Tableau repository
      • Proficient in SQL
      • Must be a self-starter who can work independently yet be a strong team player with excellent attention to detail and customer service skills
      • Experience in creating and maintaining technical operational guideline documents
      • Ability to prioritize and complete technical tasks with minimal instruction and supervision
      • Aptitude for learning new development tools and technologies quickly
      • Establish strong working relationships with coworkers, customers, managers across all levels of the organization
      • Familiar with ITIL processes (release management, change management, incident management processes)
      • Strong oral and written communication skills to convey technical details to non-technical staff and customers
      • Ability to work within a multicultural workforce serving a diverse customer base
      • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science or related field
      • SSIS and C# knowledge would be nice to have
