      Job description

      In your new role, you will be responsible for:

      • Technical procurement for Silicon Carbide and Gallium Nitride wafers
      • Acting as a worldwide and central interface to wafer suppliers, actively drive raw material related yield topics with suppliers
      • Definition, creation and negotiation of wafer specifications with suppliers
      • Optimization of the wafers with regard to yield, reliability, quality and costs
      • Provide raw material guidance and support for development of new production technologies
      • Planning and coordination of raw material qualifications
      • Contribution to wafer sourcing strategy, supplier selection and supplier development

      You demonstrate strong communication skills and know how to establish lasting relationships and networks with colleagues and suppliers.You are fully committed to making product development processes more efficient without making compromise on quality.

      These qualifications make you our top-candidate:

      • University degree in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science or a similar field
      • Ideally several years of experience within the semiconductor industry in one of the following fields: Process Integration, Yield Engineering, Process Development, Product Engineering or Quality Engineering
      • First experiences in the field of compound semiconductor material SiC & GaN
      • Good German and excellent English skills for internal and external communication

      This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group G-H ( The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills. Furthermore, Infineon offers additional employee benefits.
