      Principal Product Manager - INEA

      Location: Vienna

      INEA: A Deployment project funded by the European Union to industrialize SESAR concepts. Play an active role to allow Sabre to drive the definition and implementation of following future solutions and with that deliver significant operational benefits:

      • Flight evolution and upgrade of interfaces with Network Manager stakeholders
      • Fine tuning of NM and Flight Planning systems to support FRA
      • FIXM preparation work through pursuing eFPL development, enabling 4DT (4D Trajectory) exchange between NM, ANSPs and AUs
      • Target Times for ATFCM purposes (Trajectory Management)
      • Smoothing the sector workload by reducing traffic peaks using short-term measures such as small ground delay, flight level capping or small re-routings:
      • Scope and define the project: define requirements, resource needs, and priorities
      • Perform project management duties and closely track progress
      • Collaborate with user experience, architecture, developer, and testing experts
      • Closely work with customers to complete the go live implementation

      This position will enable contribution through the following key responsibilities:

      • Identify customer and internal KPIs, track impact of product investments relative to those KPIs
      • Demonstrate leadership and build strong internal relationships across different business units by working with cross functional teams
      • Develop innovative approaches to solve new and existing business problems
      • Understand the market opportunity, customer needs, and competitive actions to define differentiated products
      • Create product descriptions that ensure a common understanding and consistent expectations amongst the internal team as well as the customers
      • Be a champion for new and innovative solutions and capabilities powered and enabled by the platform
      • Gather requirements from existing and potential customers, write business requirements documents, and monitor the implementation of each project
      • Define detailed requirements to support the strategic product direction for the development teams, including epic and user stories, and user and customer acceptance test criteria

      EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, Aeronautical Science, or equivalent


      • Minimum 5 years working with flight operations software is preferred
      • Airline Flight Operations and flight planning expertise is a must have
      • Understanding of aircraft performance, ACARS, regulatory frameworks (EASA OPS, FAR)
      • Understanding of interaction with network management authorities (Eurocontrol, FAA, and other government agencies)
      • Market research, competitive analysis, evaluating and negotiating 3rd party strategic partnerships
      • Superior strategic mindset & agility - macro, long term view, grounded in fact and reality
      • Strong strategic, analytical and critical thinking skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate to the senior executives
      • Ability to distill complex information into simple and meaningful insights & conclusions (and bring everyone along to drive alignment & action)
      • High level of comfort with ambiguity
      • Leadership via influence - ability to generate buy in, viewed as credible
      • Thought leader. Strong commitment to excellence, integrity, and transparency
      • Process & action oriented - not an "academic" strategist - someone who can make things happen (more of an "operator" who's great at strategy formulation)
      • Product management experience
