Territory Manager for Slovakia / SHELL Slovakia (retail/dealer-owned network)
Our client is Shell Slovakia - a company that operates an extensive network of retail stations across Slovakia and offers euroShell international fuel cards. Its parent company, Shell plc, is an international energy company and one of the world's leading mobility providers. In order to strengthen the Slovak commercial team and ensure the effective growth and development of the franchised retail station network, we are seeking a skilled professional (m/f/d) for the position of DO Territory Manager ("dealer-owned network").
What awaits you in this position? The role of the Territory Manager is to comprehensively manage, develop, and lead the Shell franchised retail station network within the DO (Dealer Owned / franchise) business model across the assigned territory of Slovakia, with occasional travel to the border areas of the Czech Republic. The position combines acquisition, partnership development, and performance management. Main activities include:
- Network development and acquisition - actively seeking and identifying new business opportunities for network growth
- Preparation of business plans, supporting the negotiation of commercial terms, closing new contracts, and renegotiating existing agreements
- Relationship management and coaching - building and maintaining strong B2B relationships with DO partners (station owners)
- Coaching and motivating partners to increase the profitability of their sites and develop their personnel
- Regular evaluation of the territory's business results, tracking KPIs, and identifying performance gaps at the stations (finance, services, processes)
- Proposing and implementing corrective measures, brand and standards oversight - ensuring that partners strictly comply with operational manuals and contractual terms, and implement marketing and network initiatives
- Overseeing and uncompromisingly enforcing a culture of safety, health, and environmental protection across the entire assigned network (HSSE)
- Systematic planning and execution of site visits in accordance with internal tools (expecting 2-3 days a week in the field, with the remainder of the week dedicated to administration and internal cross-functional collaboration with marketing, finance, etc.)
What do we expect from you?
- Completed university education (at least a Bachelor's degree)
- A minimum of 3 years of proven track record in a similar field-based commercial or managerial position (e.g., Area Sales Manager, regional operations management, franchise network management, B2B sales, or FMCG)
- A dynamic personality with high internal motivation focused on achieving results
- A proactive approach - the ability to search for growth opportunities, identify risks in a timely manner, and propose solutions to minimize them
- Openness to change and a willingness to actively implement it in practice
- The ability to work independently, in a structured manner, and to flexibly organize your time in the field
- Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
- Strong commercial, economic, and analytical thinking
- Active knowledge of the English language (at least at a B2 level) is an essential requirement for internal communication
- IT proficiency (MS Office / Excel, PowerPoint)
