Requirements
- MSc (or BSc with substantial experience) in life sciences or related fields, or completed BMA/MTA education with significant experience in the field of cancer research and animal models
- At least 5 years of prior laboratory experience, including:
- Standard biochemical and molecular biology techniques, such as protein expression and purification (e.g. different antibody formats), evaluation of protein/antibody interactions, FACS and execution of enzymatic and cellular assays
- Standard cell culture techniques (BSL1/BSL2), including cultivation and expansion of primary human and mouse cells
- Work with mouse models; Felasa certification is an advantage
- Proactive and self-organized working style
- High level of accuracy and reliability
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English and German
- Additional beneficial qualifications:
- Prior experience in laboratory management
Responsibilities
- Contributing to the planning and taking direct responsibility for conducting, analyzing, and documentating experiments
- Continuously developmenting and optimizing assays and methods
- Establishing, updating and improving work-related SOPs
- Supporting the processing of primary human and mouse material
- Participating in the organization and management of the laboratory to ensure smooth workflows, including ordering supllies, preparing reagents, and mantaining equipment functionality
