We are looking for the cession to our customer, Siemens Energy a Cost Value Engineer (m/f/d), for our plant in Weiz.

Your Tasks

* Drive the target cost achievement of the power transformer steel components in cooperation with the development, design and procurement teams globally
* Perform a correlated cost analysis and costing of BOM positions for material and labor costs of various global suppliers
* Gap analysis
* Calculate options and alternatives
* Develop transparent cost models for components for power transformers tanks and steel components
* Drive design to cost initiatives and monitor development against cost targets
* Support development and setting of company-wide standards for cost and value engineering
* Provide input for cost reduction measures and sourcing recommendations

Your Qualifications

* Degree in either/or: Mechanical/Manufacturing/Project Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Economics; material technology
* Strong understanding for manufacturing processes in steel components manufacturing including welding
* Professional experience in production cost management, value engineering or a comparable position with a strong focus on production or costs
* Profound in working with figures, ability to analyze and illustrate results for decision-making
* Experience in the Wind industry is considered as an advantage
* Organized and disciplined combined with analytical skills
* Fluent in English

Your Perspective

Depending on specific qualifications and professional experience, a gross monthly salary of at least EUR 4.000 is provided (in any case, this exceeds the minimum salary stipulated in the collective agreement). The final salary agreement will be made in a personal interview.
