Group Trading is an IT department that supports Erste Group's business areas Treasury Markets, Equity Trading, Fixed Income as well as FX Trading. We are collocated with the trading departments at Erste Campus, where we provide the full spectrum of IT Services, from business analysis to implementation and integration, as well as user support, vendor management and daily operations of our trading applications. We are looking for a student to strengthen our agile team in one of our most innovative areas within fixed income: applying machine learning onto a classical fixed income trading desk.

What to do:

You will have the opportunity to learn from our experienced business analysts, as well as trading application experts. You will get firsthand experience of what it means to work on a trading floor, and you will be in daily contact with senior traders from Erste Group. You will support in transforming business ideas into functional requirements and technical specifications. You will be building the bridge between business and IT and support bringing an idea into an actual production set-up through applying cutting-edge technologies.

You check these boxes:

* Enrolled student with an ongoing study program with a technical background
* Good programming skills, especially in Java and Python
* Knowledge of relational databases as well as XML and JSON
* Ideally experience with network architecture design
* Basic understanding of machine learning models is an advantage.
* Good communication skills in English and German

* We offer you a varied part-time internship position (20-30h/week) for 6-12 months. An internship salary of EUR 3.077,-- gross per month (on a full-time basis) is offered.
