What it's all about: leading the Corporate Accounting & Tax team complying with the legal framework while constantly implementing the most efficient finance processes

As Senior Director Group Accounting & Tax you will have the overall, ultimate responsibility for group Finance functions: group accounting and consolidation, local accounting competence center (Austria), credit management and the central tax department. This role ensures the short and long term financial health of the group. As member of the Key Finance Management Team you work on and formulate the financial strategies, policies and procedures of the Zumtobel Group. You will report directly into the Group CFO, located in our Group HQ's in Dornbirn.

Your job

* Corporate Accounting: You are steering the accounting function and the preparation of the financial statements within the Group according to IFRS standards for the monthly reporting. Together with your team you prepare the quarterly reports for our investors. The task includes setting up the rules and guidelines for IFRS reporting, the preparation of the reporting tools and the clarification of key accounting issues.
* Communication Group Accounting: You are the contact person for the Executive Board and the approx. 90 international subsidiaries for all accounting and reporting issues.
* Corporate Consolidation: You are responsible for the monthly consolidation in SAP SEM-BCS, for the preparation of the financial statements of Zumtobel Group including notes to fulfil all requirements of a listed company.
* Tax Compliance: The tax department is in your reporting line and you are the contact for the head of tax to discuss corporate income tax and VAT matters, transfer pricing, group taxes, deferred taxes (BEPS-training). You will analyse key tax issues or special topics e.g. M&A topics. Special attention is paid to tax compliance, including the appropriateness of transfer prices and intra-group settlements.
* Environment Social Governance (ESG) and Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) & ESRS: Within finance you are responsible for complying with CSRD and ESRS cooperating closely with the sustainability department.
* Reporting to the Audit Committee: You are responsible for the preparation of the reporting package to the Audit Committee and will present accounting processes, effectiveness of closure procedures and internal controls, important changes in accounting and related standards as well as key audit matters together with the auditor.
* Organization of the Audit Process: You are the first contact person for the Group auditor and you organise the audit of all subsidiaries. You coordinate fees and audit contracts of all Group companies. You make sure that all preparations are done according to the time schedule and that all upcoming questions are answered by the responsible departments without delay.
* Leading & managing Projects: You will be expected to promote best practice throughout the entire assigned organisation by digitalisation, optimisation of processes and efficiency improvements. You determine, implement and manage accounting projects e.g. the preparation of migration to SAP S/4 HANA. Hereby you co-operate closely and trustfully with other business departments of the Group.
* Team Leadership: You will grow, develop and lead a high-performing finance team (5 direct reports/21 experts) by fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team. As a strong leader with exceptional leadership skills you provide guidance, support and assign annual performance targets to your direct reports.
* Supervision & Communication with external Authorities: You are the contact person for the AFREP/ÖPR and tax audit offices. You support and accompany tax audits and coordinate consultants.

Your profile

* You have successfully completed a university degree in finance, accounting or a related field, preferably with a globally recognized qualification such as tax advisor, chartered accountant, auditor or CPA.
* You bring 10+years of professional experience in finance and 5+years of this in the area of a management position in an auditing firm and/or in the accounting department of an internationally operating industrial company, ideally in a listed company. A must have is a sound knowledge of IFRS.
* You are familiar with regulatory reporting and you have a hands on experience with regulatory frameworks and reporting requirements, you are familiar with the CSRD.
* You are an excellent communicator (German and English) with strong interpersonal and leadership skills who can influence at all levels. You are successful in managing teams with highly specialized experts.
* You have experience with accounting software with a preference for those familiar with SAP (S/4 HANA), SAP FI and CO as well as knowledge of a consolidation system, ideally SAP SEM BCS.
