Your responsibilities

Scientists at ISTA are constantly delivering cutting-edge science. To explain their results in a way that they are also understood by people outside their specific fields - and the general public - is one of the central tasks of the Communications team at ISTA. The internship offers you the opportunity to support our creative team by contributing to creating and distributing impactful content - with a focus on texting and media relations. Our team will be supporting and guiding you in making use of your particular strengths. Your core tasks will include:

* Support preparation of media materials about the Institute and its fundamental research
* Research for and prepare distribution of press releases
* As needed: Assisting with other communication tasks, including internal communications, alumni relations, web and social media
* Depending on experience: Occasional support of media production (storytelling, video, photography, graphics)
* Administrative support of the team

Your profile

* Ongoing degree in natural sciences, journalism, communications or similar
* Interested in science communication and/or journalism
* Service-oriented and diligent way of working
* Excited to proactively support our team and eager to learn
* Very good command of written and spoken English (Institute language: English)
