We are looking for a (Senior) Accountant (m/f/d) to join the accounting team at the Head Office in Vienna. You will ensure the accounting, reporting and tax compliance of Borealis AG with all legal and fiscal requirements and Borealis guidelines. Further, you will coordinate the deliverables of other stake holders such as treasury and funding, our shared service center and People & Culture to ensure the timely completion of our monthly, quarterly and annual closings of accounts. You will act as a deputy for the Country Finance Manager.

The typical tasks comprise of:

* Preparation of closing and routine entries
* Balance sheet and other reconciliations on a regular basis
* Monthly/quarterly/annual closing tasks (postings, clearings, reconciliations, reporting to the group, etc.)
* Handling payroll and social security postings and reconciliations
* Preparations of the local financial statements (postings, disclosure notes, etc.)
* Assistance with internal and external reviews and audits
* Cooperation and assistance in finance-related group projects
* Communication with the country authorities
* Follow up on the legislation changes and introducing relevant changes to the organisation
* Preparation of financial, tax and statistical declarations

About you

You are the right candidate for this role, if you have finished your Bachelor degree in finance, controlling or accounting and you have a solid knowledge of accounting rules, IFRS and local GAAP. Moreover, you are fluent in English (spoken and written) and have at least basic German knowledge. You have worked in a similar role before and you have strong data interpretation and validation skills. Last but not least, you have good communication and presentation skills, you are able to listen, understand and convey information in a way people can easily understand.

We offer a competitive compensation based on the collective labour agreement, reflecting your competencies and experience, starting at EUR 60.640,00 annual gross salary and are willing to pay more based on your experience and background. In addition, we offer a yearly bonus and a voluntary company pension plan.
