About the role

Hours: Full-Time
Type of Contract: Permanent

Want to be part of shaping the future? We are looking for a Data Architect to join our Data and Analytics team.

In this role, you will design, deploy and manage the data architecture of Borealis. You will provide input to the company's data strategy, develop internal standards for business data management and provide management with proactive recommendations on business information as well as insights of its business impact.

More specifically, you will be responsible for :

* Ensuring the delivery of meaningful, trusted and accessible data to the organization by developing and implementing data integration and persistence patterns which allow for transparency in data lineage and cost optimisation. You will consider the whole data lifecycle, establishing and enforcing guidelines for data collection, integration (ETL) and consumption of data for reporting, analytics & data science purposes.
* Guiding the project teams on data matters by translating best practices of data management in general and data architecture in particular, into practical guidance
* Collaborating with our data governance expert to further deploy the Borealis data strategy and data management framework, further enhancing our capabilities on metadata management, data quality management and master data management.
* In close collaboration with the Enterprise Architect and the Solutions Architects, driving for sound enterprise architecture practices and keeping EA models up-to-date
* In close collaboration with the (cyber) security expert & architect and the DPO, implementing and monitoring data security standards, guidelines and processes in order to provide the company with appropriate level of protection of business information.
* Advocating data-driven decision making and keeping up-to-date with emerging data management practices and technologies

About you

You have a Master degree in engineering, computer science or a related area. You have 10 years of work experience in a similar role and in an international organisation. You have experience in providing business- and functional leaders your expert advice on data management technology, best suited to support the company targets. You are certified in either MIKE2.0, DAMA BOK and/or TOGAF. You can develop concepts and translate them into tactical & operational execution plans. You have experience working in an agile environment with practices such as Scrum. You also have good communication and persuasion skills, and are fluent in English.
